Early Morning Two-Vehicles Crash on 101 Freeway in Sherman Oaks Leaves 1 Dead

 
SHERMAN OAKS, CA (February 28, 2023) – One person died in a two-vehicle accident on 101 Freeway in Sherman Oaks early Saturday morning on February 25.
 
The accident happened around 1:13 a.m. at the Coldwater Canyon Avenue on-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided along the westbound freeway in unclear circumstances.
 
When officers arrived, they located one of the vehicles facing sideways on the on-ramp. They also found one person dead at the scene.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
It is unclear if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.
 
CHP officials are still trying to determine the exact cause of the crash and factors involved.
