Gordon Glasson Fatally Struck by Pickup Truck on Highway 120 [Moccasin, CA]

68-Year-Old Man Dies after Run Over by Electric Truck in Moccasin

 
MOCCASIN, CA (April 28, 2024) – Gordon Ralph Glasson was fatally struck by a pickup truck in Moccasin Thursday morning on April 25.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:43 a.m. on Highway 120 at the bottom of Old Priest Grade. According to the California Highway Patrol, Glasson had stopped his 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning all-electric pickup to close the charge portal on the truck’s front left quarter-panel.
 
Glasson had partially exited the pickup while it was still in drive when it began to roll forward.
 
When the truck started rolling toward the right edge of the highway, it dragged Glasson underneath and came to rest on an embankment. It then continued rolling downhill across Moccasin Switchback and through multiple fences before it came to a stop in a yard.
 
Glasson suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 68-year-old Groveland resident.

A representative from Ford said that the company will work with authorities to investigate the fatality.
