CANYON COUNTRY, CA (December 12, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries after a car crashed into a donut shop on Soledad Canyon Road, Friday morning.
 
According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the incident happened on December 9, at about 8:33 a.m. As per reports, a driver accidentally pressed the gas and accelerated into the side of Yum Yum Donuts.
 
Emergency crews transported the driver to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Meanwhile, two other injured victims received treatment at the scene and did not need hospitalization.
 
The collision caused the shop’s glass panels to shatter. However, the shop did not sustain structural damage.
 
The sheriff’s station continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
