Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Arroyo Seco Parkway in Highland

HIGHLAND PARK, CA (December 1, 2021) – A woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Arroyo Seco Parkway in the Highland Park area early Tuesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 4:30 a.m. on November 30 near Avenue 60. According to the California Highway Patrol, the female pedestrian was walking southbound on Arroyo Seco Parkway when a vehicle struck her.
 
As a result, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was 35 years old. Authorities withheld her identity at this time.
 
The involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. CHP officials are still working on the accident.
