Woman Killed, 2 Hurt in Rollover Crash on 805 Freeway in Otay Mesa

 
OTAY MESA, CA (October 27, 2022) — A woman died in a rollover accident on the 805 Freeway near Highway 905.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal single-car accident happened around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday. An 18-year-old driver lost control while heading southbound on the 805 Freeway transition ramp to Highway 905 West for unknown reasons. As a result, the car left the road and flipped over.
 
Soon after, San Diego Fire Department rescue crews arrived and pulled three women from the wreckage. However, one of them died at the scene. Authorities have not released her name pending notification of family members.
 
At this time, the reason for the crash and the condition of the two passengers are unavailable. If anyone has more information on this crash, please call the CHP at 858-293-6000.
