Two-Vehicle Crash on Berendo Avenue in Gardena Kills 1 Passenger

 
GARDENA, CA (October 4, 2023) – A passenger was killed in a two-vehicle accident at Berendo Avenue and Redondo Beach Boulevard in Gardena late Monday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:40 p.m. on October 2. According to Gardena Police Department, a red Mitsubishi and a blue Ford Mustang collided after one of the drivers made an unsafe turn.
 
Responding paramedics took all occupants of the vehicles to hospitals, where one of them later died.
 
The victim was one of the passengers in the Mitsubishi. The Los Angeles County Department Medical Examiner withheld their identity pending notification of next of kin.
