Motorcyclist and Passenger Suffer Injuries after Crash with Car on Petaluma Road in Victorville

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (October 4, 2023) – Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident on Petaluma Road in Victorville Monday evening on October 2.
 
The accident happened around 7:39 p.m. near La Mesa Road. According to Victorville Police Department, the victims were riding the motorcycle westbound on La Mesa Road when a sedan attempted to turn left onto Petaluma Road. One of the vehicles then broadsided the other.
 
Emergency personnel located both riders in the roadway suffering from major injuries.
 
Firefighters requested two helicopters to land at Desert Valley Hospital.
 
The injured riders were transported by AMR to Victor Valley Global Medical Center and then airlifted by helicopter to a trauma center.
 
La Mesa Road was shut down between Petaluma Road and Cinnamon Lane as deputies investigated the crash.
 
The male driver of the sedan stayed on scene and cooperated with police. Bystanders said he was an Uber driver and was in the process of picking up a passenger when the crash happened.
 
An investigation is ongoing. Police asked witnesses to call the station at 760-241-2911.
