Hayward Police Officer on Motorcycle Suffers Injuries after Crash with Vehicle on Highway 99 in Ripon

 
RIPON, CA (February 12, 2023) – A motor officer was injured in a traffic accident on Highway 99 in Ripon Thursday morning on February 9.
 
The accident happened around 8:36 a.m. near the Jack Tone Road off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, the Hayward officer was on his way to work on his department-issued motorcycle when he was involved in the collision with another vehicle.
 
Paramedics transported the officer to a hospital with moderate injuries.
 
The driver of the other vehicle was unharmed. They cooperated with authorities.
 
The CHP does not believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
