Man Dies after Struck by Patrol SUV on North Pacific Avenue in Huntington Beach

 
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (August 27, 2022) – A 45-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident on North Pacific Avenue in Huntington Beach on Saturday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:35 a.m. on August 27 at Broadway. According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the man was walking near the intersection when an HBPD Ford Explorer that was responding to a radio call struck him.
 
Paramedics rushed the man to a local hospital, where the victim later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The officer, a 22-year-old Huntington Beach resident, was not injured, nor were any other HBPD officers.
