Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with Vehicle on Griffin Avenue in Lincoln Heights

 
LINCOLN HEIGHTS, CA (October 23, 2022) – A man died in a motorcycle accident on Griffin Avenue in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles on Saturday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 7:30 a.m. on October 22, in the 2800 block of Griffin Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the 24-year-old man was riding his motorcycle southbound when a vehicle in front of him made a U-turn. He was unable to slow down before hitting the vehicle in front of him, pinning the bike underneath the vehicle.
 
When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist suffering from fatal injuries and pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
It is unclear if the driver remained on scene after the crash.
 
At this time, authorities are still investigating the factors involved in the crash and liability.
