Speeding Rider Suffers Injuries after Crash with Two Cars on 60 Freeway in Jurupa Valley

 
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (September 6, 2023) – A man was injured in a motorcycle accident on 60 Freeway in Jurupa Valley Friday afternoon on September 1.
 
The accident happened around 3:40 p.m. just west of Rubidoux Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding his motorcycle at a high rate of speed and was splitting lanes when he collided with a Kia.
 
The motorcycle went down and ended up under a passing Jeep.
 
The rider then rolled onto the freeway. He was able to stand up and was assisted by good Samaritans, who aided him in moving to the right shoulder.
 
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics responded and took the rider t a Riverside hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
 
The occupants of the Kia and the Jeep were unharmed.

Crews closed all eastbound lanes for five minutes while the motorcycle was moved out of the fast lane and to the shoulder of the freeway.

An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
