Police Arrest DUI Driver after Vehicle Crashes into Garage of Rancho Cordova Home on McGregor Drive

 
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (February 1, 2023) – A man was arrested in a DUI crash on McGregor Drive in Rancho Cordova early Monday morning on January 30.
 
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, a van was traveling on McGregor Drive at an unknown rate of speed when it crossed Ambassador Drive. It then went over a hill in the front yard of a home, where it then launched into the air and landed on top of the garage of the home around 1:30 a.m.

The crash caused significant damage to the garage and an adjacent room.

There were two people in the home at the time, but they were not injured.

Firefighters extricated two people, a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, who were trapped inside the van.

After extrication, police arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI.

An investigation into this crash is underway.
