34-Year-Old Woman Dies after Hit by Sedan on Citrus Avenue near Harvey Drive

 
FONTANA, CA (February 1, 2023) – Carmen Palacios was hit and killed by a car in Fontana early Monday morning on January 30.
 
The fatal crash happened around 1:10 a.m. on Citrus Avenue near Harvey Drive. According to the Fontana Police Department, Palacios was crossing the southbound lanes of Citrus from west to east outside of a crosswalk when a white Toyota Solara struck her.
 
The impact caused Palacios fatal injuries and she died at the scene. She was 34 years old from Fontana.
 
The driver of the Solara, a 21-year-old Fontana resident, stayed on scene and was not under the influence of any substance.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
