Car Wedged Under Big Rig in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (February 5, 2024) — A car pinned underneath a semi-truck following a multi-car accident on the 5 Freeway near Calgrove Boulevard resulted in several lane closures.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the multi-car pileup happened around 9:29 a.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, four vehicles crashed on the 5 North Freeway, south of Calgrove Boulevard. Minutes later, emergency responders arrived and found a white Honda CRV partially pinned underneath the trailer of a big rig.
 
Fortunately, no one reported any major injuries in the collision and all involved occupants were able to exit their vehicles.
 
Due to the crash, authorities closed all lanes except the No. 1 lane to channel through traffic.
