Patricia Lopez Detained in Deadly Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Live Oak Avenue near 605 Freeway

 
IRWINDALE, CA (February 3, 2023) Patricia Lopez was arrested in a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Live Oak Avenue near the 605 Freeway.
 
According to reports, Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the accident scene around 9:24 p.m. Tuesday. Upon responding, authorities found a man with significant injuries, consistent with that of being hit by a driver. The driver, however, was found nowhere on the scene.
 
The victim died moments later, as confirmed by paramedics; however, officials have not yet released his name.
 
By Wednesday morning, authorities arrested 50-year-old Patricia Lopez, of Pomona, and impounded her vehicle for the investigation.
 
Authorities believe she was heading eastbound on Live Oak Avenue when she struck the male pedestrian before leaving. As of Friday, she remains incarcerated at the West Covina jail on vehicular manslaughter and felony hit and run with a bail set at $50,000.
