SACRAMENTO, CA (February 3, 2023) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by 2 cars on Highway 99 near Calvine Road Thursday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 7:15 p.m. For unknown reasons, an unidentified person tried to cross the southbound lanes of Highway 99 near Calvin Road. However, the pedestrian was hit by two vehicles.
 
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries in the crash. As for both drivers, they pulled over and waited for authorities to arrive.
 
Neither driver faces charges or citations at this time. Authorities have not identified the factors leading to the crash, but an ongoing investigation should confirm any unclear details.
