Airaldo Centeno Hospitalized, Thomas Bennett and Melanie Clark Detained in Salida Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident

 
SALIDA, CA (August 1, 2022) — Airaldo Centeno remains hospitalized for the injuries he sustained in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Broadway Avenue near Highway 99.
 
According to reports, the hit-and-run pedestrian accident occurred on July 21. For what might have been intentional, a pedestrian accident occurred in the 4000 block of Broadway Avenue. Two suspects, 23-year-old Melanie Clark and her 26-year-old boyfriend Thomas Bennett, deliberately ran over 35-year-old Centeno.
 
According to witnesses, the pair went up a curb, struck the Stanislaus County man and took out a sign. Following the accident, the man and woman left the scene.
 
At this time, Centeno remains in a medically induced coma fighting for his life while Clark and Bennett remain incarcerated at Stanislaus County jail, facing attempted murder charges, accessory charges and more. An investigation remains, however.
