Woman Dies after Struck by 2 Different Hit-and-Run Drivers on La Palma Avenue in Anaheim

 
ANAHEIM, CA (December 30, 2021) – A homeless woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on La Palma Avenue in Anaheim early Thursday morning last week.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:42 a.m. on December 23, at Maple Street. According to the Anaheim Police Department, the female pedestrian was walking in the area when a silver or gray Ford Ranger, around the 2010 model year, struck her. The driver did not stop after the crash.
 
Minutes later, another vehicle also ran over the victim and kept going. Authorities said it is possibly a newer model, light-colored SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer.
 
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. She was a 36-year-old homeless woman.
 
Anaheim police are still trying to find video surveillance footage. They urge potential witnesses to call them at 714-765-1474.
