Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Capitol Expressway in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (May 29, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Capitol Expressway at Seven Trees Boulevard in South San Jose Thursday evening.
 
The accident happened around 9:26 p.m. on May 27. According to the San Jose Police Department, the man was walking west across the street outside of a marked crosswalk when a blue 2011 Jeep Cherokee struck him.
 
Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The Jeep driver remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after they confirm and notify his next of kin.
