Transient Woman Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Brea Boulevard in Fullerton

 
FULLERTON, CA (December 30, 2021) – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash at Brea Boulevard and Bastanchury Road in Fullerton Thursday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 6:45 a.m. on December 23. According to the Fullerton Police Department, the female pedestrian was walking in the median of the road and was not in a crosswalk when a vehicle traveling westbound on Bastanchury Road struck her.
 
The driver kept going, but a portion of the vehicle’s blue bumper was left behind and investigators suspect the vehicle was a Toyota.
 
The woman, who was possibly a transient, died at the scene. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
Police are still investigating the incident and on the lookout for the suspect. They asked witnesses to call investigators at 714-738-6812. Orange County Crime Stoppers will accept anonymous tips at 855-TIP-OCCS.
