Public Works Monterey Road District Employee Latu Moli Dies in Accident on Laureles Grade in Monterey County

 
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (December 31, 2021) – Police identified Latu Moli as the man who died in a car accident on Laureles Grade on December 6.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Southview Lane.
 
Based on a report, the victim was an employee at Public Works Monterey Road District for 14 years. At the time of the crash, Moli was on his way to work. Due to unknown reasons, he veered off the road and went past the guardrail all the way down a steep hill.
 
As a result, the victim died in the incident. He was 45 years old. A GoFundMe had since been set up for his family.
 
At this point, an investigation is ongoing.
