Pedestrian Dies after Hit by Vehicle at Shields Avenue and Anna Street

 
FRESNO, CA (January 8, 2023) – Zulema Arambula died in a pedestrian accident in Fresno Monday night on January 2.
 
The accident happened around 6:20 p.m. at Shields Avenue and Anna Street. According to the Fresno Police Department, Arambula and a man were in a verbal altercation. The man reportedly ran across the road, and Arambula was hit by a vehicle as she followed him.
 
Police found Arambula suffering from major injuries in the roadway.
 
The victim was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to her injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver pulled over and cooperated with authorities.
 
Drugs or alcohol was not considered as a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
