SACRAMENTO, CA (January 8, 2023) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento on Tuesday night.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. on January 3. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was walking at 9515 Folsom Boulevard when a vehicle struck them.
 
The impact caused the victim fatal injuries and they died at the scene. Their identity was not immediately available.
 
At this time, it is unclear if the involved driver stayed after the crash. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
