2 Hospitalized in Police Pursuit Crash on 215 Freeway

 
REDLANDS, CA (April 29, 2024) — Two suspects suffered unknown injuries in a police chase accident on the 215 Freeway in Colton.
 
According to the Redlands Police Department, the incident unfolded on April 25. Officers received word about two people stealing a vehicle from the 1400 of Barton Road. Subsequently, authorities attempted to pull the driver over. However, the driver did not comply, and a chase ensued.
 
Shortly after, the driver rammed into the patrol car before fleeing at a high rate of speed. The vehicle drove on surface streets and the 215 Freeway where the car drove into a drainage ditch in Colton.
 
Following the crash, police took the driver and passenger of the stolen vehicle into custody after learning that the passenger possessed a device to program vehicle key fobs.
