Pedestrian Dies after Struck by SUV on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood

 
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA (July 13, 2022) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident at Sunset Boulevard and Hammond Street in West Hollywood on Tuesday.
 
The accident happened around 12:30 a.m. on July 12. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the woman in her 30s was walking on a marked crosswalk and crossing against a red light. An SUV heading east on Sunset then struck her.
 
As a result, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was not yet identified.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. They did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and no arrests were made.
