Merced Hit-and-Run at 11th Street and S Street Sends Pedestrian to Hospital

 
MERCED, CA (September 6, 2021) – A woman sustained injuries in a pedestrian hit-and-run at 11th Street and S Street in south Merced late Sunday evening, August 29.
 
The crash happened around 11:15 p.m. According to Merced police, the female pedestrian was walking in the area when a black truck hit her.
 
When officers arrived, they found the woman suffering from moderate injuries. An air ambulance was requested at the scene to transport the victim to a Modesto hospital.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver did not stop after the crash.
 
Police are still investigating the incident and looking for witnesses as well as any video surveillance footage from the area. They asked anyone with further information regarding the collision to contact the Merced Police Department at 209-385-6905 and ask for Officer N. Martinez.
