Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident Occurs on Road 192 in Terra Bella

 
TERRA BELLA, CA (September 6, 2021) – Police confirmed that two people died in a two-vehicle accident on Road 192 on September 1.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just north of Avenue 104 shortly before 7:00 AM.
 
Based on reports, a 25-year-old man and a 78-year-old man from Delano were traveling northbound on Road 192 in a Chevy Cavalier at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, their vehicle drifted into southbound lanes. Then, it collided head-on with a Chevy Silverado.
 
As a result, both men in the Cavalier died at the scene. Officials did not yet release their names pending kin notification. The driver of the Silverado sustained minor injuries. Emergency crews transported the victim to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia for treatment.
 
It was not immediately known why the Cavalier went into oncoming traffic lanes. At this point, officers don’t consider drugs and alcohol to be factors in the crash. However, the cause of the collision is under investigation.
