2 Hurt in Semi-Truck Crash on Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley
APPLE VALLEY, CA (May 7, 2024) — Two people suffered injuries in a semi-truck accident on Dale Evans Parkway and Quarry Road.
According to the Apple Valley Police Department, the multi-vehicle crash happened Thursday around 6:56 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 33-year-old Victorville man failed to stop at the stop sign. Subsequently, an oncoming Wal-Mart semi-truck lost control and struck a parked Nissan and an electrical pole before overturning.
Minutes later, emergency personnel arrived and transported the 48-year-old semi-truck driver to a hospital with high blood pressure and airlifted the Toyota driver to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Fortunately, Scott Hood, the Nissan car owner, was not inside the car at the time.
Due to the collision, several electrical poles sustained damage, which required assistance from Southern California Edison. If anyone has more information, please call the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station at (760) 240-7400.
