Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Tampa Avenue in Northridge

 
NORTHRIDGE, CA (April 16, 2024) — A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Tampa Avenue near Business Center Drive.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 2:55 a.m. on Monday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a woman in her 30s who was pushing a shopping cart. Subsequently, the driver left the scene, failing to identify him or herself.
 
Soon after, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived and found the woman with fatal injuries. At this time, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has withheld her name pending notification of her relatives.
 
At this time, authorities would like anyone’s help in searching for and identifying the driver involved in this fatal accident.
