Mother and 7-Year-Old Son Hurt in Berkeley Pedestrian Accident on Cedar Street

 
NORTH BERKELEY, CA (October 4, 2022) – A mother and her 7-year-old son sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Cedar Street on Friday morning.
 
According to the Berkeley Police Department, the incident happened on September 23 at about 8:30 a.m. The pedestrians attempted to cross in a marked crosswalk when a vehicle hit them near Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School.
 
Emergency crews rendered aid to the woman and the child. As per reports, the victims suffered minor injuries and are recovering.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Berkeley police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
