Car Accident on Ventura Freeway in Thousand Oaks Seriously Injures 2 People and Starts Small Vegetation Fire

 
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (April 4, 2023) – Two people were seriously injured in a car accident on Ventura (101) Freeway in Thousand Oaks Saturday afternoon on April 1.
 
The accident happened around 2:50 p.m. near the Rancho Conejo Boulevard off-ramp. According to the CHP and Ventura County Fire Department, a vehicle, possibly a BMW sedan, went about 100 feet off the roadway for unknown reasons.
 
Firefighters at the scene pulled two people from the wreckage after extinguishing a small brush fire at the crash site.
 
Both patients were taken by ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
 
At this time, the CHP is still trying to determine what caused the crash and whether drugs or alcohol was factor.
