Sedan Crashes on 80 Freeway in Crockett Leaving 2 Men with Critical Injuries

 
CROCKETT, CA (November 16, 2022) – Two men were injured in a car accident on 80 Freeway in Crockett late Sunday afternoon on November 13.
 
The accident happened shortly after 5:10 p.m. at the Pomona Street off-ramp. According to the CHP, the driver of a Honda sedan had gotten a foot stuck near the accelerator pedal, causing the crash.
 
When officers arrived, they found two unconscious men inside the sedan, which had major front-end damage. They worked with Crockett Carquinez Fire Department crews to remove the men safely.
 
A REACH medical helicopter took both men to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where they both listed in critical condition.
 
At this time, the crash is under investigation. The CHP asked anyone with information to call the Contra Costa office at 925-646-4980.
