1 Arrested in DUI Crashes on Camellia Way in Chico

 
CHICO, CA (April 29, 2024) — A man faces DUI charges following two accidents on Camellia Way near Big Chico Creek.
 
According to Chico Police officers, the drunk driving accident happened around 1:15 a.m. Friday. For DUI reasons, a white Porsche heading out of downtown slammed into a railing on Camellia Way near the Big Chico Creek bridge. However, prior to this impact, the driver of the white Porsche reportedly sideswiped a female driver’s vehicle that was waiting at a light.
 
Soon after, police responded to the scene, and arrested the 27-year-old Porsche motorist for DUI. He did not report any injuries in the accident. Authorities did not confirm if anyone else was injured in the DUI crash.
