THERMAL, CA (January 14, 2023) – Two people were killed in a big rig accident on Airport Boulevard in Thermal Friday night on January 13.
 
Shortly before 6:00 p.m., a car collided with the big rig in the 86600 block of Airport Boulevard, just north of the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport.
 
Two people in the car suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured, according to Cal Fire.
 
At this time, the identities of the victims were not immediately available.
 
The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
