Afternoon Two-Car Crash on 15 Freeway in Mountain Pass Kills 3 People

 
MOUNTAIN PASS, CA (May 22, 2023) – Three people were killed in a two-car accident on 15 Freeway in Mountain Pass Friday afternoon on May 19.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:18 p.m. just south of Yates Well Road near the California Agricultural Inspection Station. According to the CHP, a gray sedan and a white sedan collided on the northbound lanes of the freeway.
 
When officers arrived, they located the gray sedan on its side on the right-hand shoulder and the white sedan in the middle of lanes, with no one exiting either of the vehicles.
 
Two occupants in a 2015 Toyota Camry both died at the scene. One occupant in the other car was also killed in the crash.
 
At this time, the identities of the victims were not immediately available.
 
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the exact cause of the crash and factors involved.
