Shasha Adams Arrested, Pedestrian Hurt in DUI Crash on Franklin Boulevard and 52nd Avenue

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 10, 2022) — Officials arrested 29-year-old Shasha Adams following a DUI pedestrian accident on Friday, October 7.
 
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident happened just before 1:00 p.m. on Franklin Boulevard and 52nd Avenue. An officer noticed a vehicle driving in the bike lane at a high rate of speed and running a red light.
 
Police said an officer tried a traffic stop. However, the driver sped away starting a pursuit and the officer lost sight of the car.
 
They later discovered the vehicle at Franklin and 47th Avenue, where it crashed with a female pedestrian and another vehicle. The woman sustained severe injuries. Paramedics rushed the pedestrian by ambulance to the hospital in critical condition.
 
According to reports, Adams who drove the vehicle sustained minor injuries and received treatment at a local hospital. Then, California Highway Patrol arrested her on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
Authorities urge witnesses to call the California Highway Patrol’s South Sacramento Office at 916-897-5600.
