SAN JOSE, CA (April 2, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on Saratoga Avenue near Kiely Boulevard.
 
According to San Jose police, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 7:39 p.m. Sunday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a male pedestrian in the 500 block of Saratoga Avenue. Subsequently, San Jose police and emergency personnel arrived at the scene near The Harker School to find the severely injured victim. Tragically, he passed away from his injuries at the scene.
 
Following the accident, authorities closed Saratoga Avenue in both directions until 10:00 p.m. after the investigation.
