Woman Fatally Struck in Home Avenue Pedestrian Accident in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 2, 2024) — A female pedestrian hit by a car on Home Avenue near Gateway Drive died Sunday evening.
 
According to San Diego police officers, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 4:57 p.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, a driver in a northbound 2022 Honda Pilot approaching the Home Avenue and Gateway Drive intersection struck a woman walking eastbound across the street. Subsequently, the 32-year-old woman pulled over and waited for authorities to arrive.
 
Minutes later, emergency personnel responded to the Fairmount Park neighborhood and took the victim to a hospital. However, she passed away. Officials did not release her name, only describing her as a 52-year-old woman.
