Two Vehicles Collide at Manthey and Matthews Roads Killing At Least One

 
FRENCH CAMP, CA (November 7, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident at Manthey Road and Matthews Road in French Camp on Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 6:44 a.m. on November 6. According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Chevrolet pickup truck and another vehicle collided at the intersection. The impact caused one of them to crash into a chain-link fence with a metal post.
 
Officers responded to the scene and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
It is unknown at this time if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
