Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Pickup Truck on China Grade Loop

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 7, 2022) – A man died in a motorcycle accident on China Grade Loop in Bakersfield Sunday afternoon on November 6.
 
The accident happened around 3:41 p.m. near Junction Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle behind a Ford F-250 pickup truck, driven by Jason Wolfe of Bakersfield.
 
The motorcycle crossed over the double yellow lines and tried to pass the Ford on the left. The Ford was preparing to turn left onto Junction Road. The vehicles collided, causing significant injuries on the rider.
 
First responders pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
 
The coroner’s office will release the victim’s identity at a later time.
 
Wolfe sustained minor injuries from the crash.
 
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol was a factor. Authorities urged witnesses to contact the CHP at 661-396-6600.
