Late Evening Pedestrian Accident on Highway 41 in Northeast Fresno Turns Deadly

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 14, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on Highway 41 in northeast Fresno, late Tuesday evening.
 
The accident happened around 11:00 p.m. on April 12 just north of Friant Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking across the southbound lanes when an oncoming vehicle struck him.
 
The impact tossed the pedestrian into the center median. He died at the scene. His identity has been withheld pending notification of his family members.
 
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old driver and his 17-year-old passenger were unharmed. They remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors. At this time, the fatal crash remains under investigation.
