One Injured in Rollover Accident on Cohasset Road near Esplanade [Chico, CA]

Driver Suffers Medical Emergency and Causes Rollover Crash on Cohasset Road in Chico

 
CHICO, CA (July 20, 2023) – One person was injured in a rollover accident on Cohasset Road in Chico Tuesday morning on July 18.
 
The accident happened around 11:15 a.m. near Esplanade. According to the Chico Fire Department, the driver of Dodge Ram truck suffered a medical emergency while driving north on Esplanade and turning right on Cohasset Road.
 
The Dodge then rolled over and crashed into a sedan.
 
An off-duty firefighter who witnessed the crash helped the driver get out of the car. They were able to cut the windshield open to take him out.
 
The driver of the Dodge sustained minor injuries.
 
It is unknown if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.
 
Further investigation is underway.
