Hit-and-Run Driver Badly Injures Motorcyclist on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in Kearny Mesa

 
KEARNY MESA, CA (January 29, 2023) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in Kearny Mesa late Monday evening.
 
The crash happened just after 11:00 p.m. on January 23, at Kearny Villa Road. According to the San Diego Police Department, the 53-year-old victim was riding his motorcycle at the intersection on a green light. At the same time, another vehicle was heading north on Kearny Villa Road.
 
The driver of the vehicle struck the motorcyclist and fled the scene.
 
First responders rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital with fractured ribs and a fractured left ankle. His injuries were believed to be non-life threatening.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The SDPD’s Traffic Division is still investigating the crash.
