Teen Girl Suffers Injuries after Hit by Vehicle on Brown Street in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 29, 2023) – A 15-year-old girl was injured in a pedestrian accident at Brown Street and East California Avenue in east Bakersfield on Wednesday morning.
 
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. on January 25. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the teen was walking in the area when a vehicle hit her.
 
As a result, the victim suffered minor to moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital.
 
It is unclear if the involved driver stayed after the crash. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
 
The accident is still under investigation.
