Man in Wheelchair Suffers Serious Injuries after Struck by Vehicle on Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms

 
TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA (February 6, 2023) – A man was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms Thursday morning on February 2.
 
The accident happened around 7:20 a.m. at Adobe Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the disabled man in a wheelchair was within a marked crosswalk when a maroon Dodge made a right turn onto Adobe and struck him.
 
Paramedics responded and rushed the man to a hospital with major, but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
