Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 in Buellton Leaves 1 Driver Dead

 
BUELLTON, CA (July 15, 2023) – A man died in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 101 in the Buellton area Wednesday afternoon on July 12.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:46 p.m. just south of Jonata Park Road. According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, a van and a pickup truck collided for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, the male driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Paramedics extricated the female passenger in the truck and took her to a hospital with moderate injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck was hurt but denied treatment.
 
The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
