LAPD Motorcycle Officer Suffers Injuries after Hit by Stolen Car During Pursuit on Community Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 15, 2023) – A motorcycle officer was injured in a pursuit crash at Community Street and Noble Avenue in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash happened around 3:41 p.m. on July 13. The motorcycle officer was hit by a driver during a stolen vehicle pursuit.
 
Responding medical personnel took the motorcycle officer to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
Just a half mile away, at Kester Avenue and Parthenia Street, police were taking one of the suspects involved in the alleged pursuit into custody.
 
Aerial footage showed a silver sedan and a white SUV in the intersection after the crash. Though it was unclear which one of the vehicles was involved in the alleged pursuit, damage to the front of the silver sedan could be seen.
 
An investigation is underway.
