Man Killed, 4 Injured in Head-On Accident on River Road near Front Street [Rio Vista, CA]

Afternoon Head-On Crash on River Road in Rio Vista Kills 1 Driver and Injures 4 Other People

 
RIO VISTA, CA (November 18, 2022) – A man died and four other people were injured in a head-on accident on River Road in Rio Vista Thursday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 3:10 p.m. on November 17, in the 100 block of River Road near Front Street, just north of the Rio Vista Bridge. According to police, a sedan and a minivan collided head-on for unknown reasons.
 
The male driver of the sedan suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
The 13-year-old boy who was a passenger in the sedan, a mother driving the minivan and her two children, ages 3 and 3 months old, sustained unspecified injuries. Paramedics took all four of them to area hospitals for treatment.
 
It is still unclear what led up to the crash. The Rio Vista Police Department is handling the investigation.
