Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Blackstone Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (April 16, 2024) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Blackstone Avenue near Ashlan Avenue.
 
According to Fresno Police officers, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. For an unknown reason, a man in his 30s ran across Blackstone Avenue. Subsequently, an oncoming vehicle, moving at an undetermined speed, struck him near Ashlan Avenue.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to find the victim lying on the road with grave injuries. Due to his condition, paramedics ushered him to Community Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Officials have not released his name.
 
Following the incident, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators who did not suspect impairment to have played a role on the driver’s part.
