2 Dead After Vehicle Strikes Guardrail on Grangeville Boulevard in Kings County

 
KINGS COUNTY, CA (April 16, 2024) — Two people died after a car crashed into a guardrail on Grangeville Boulevard near 25th Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. For an unknown reason, a female driver operating a white Ford Fusion westbound on Grangeville Boulevard lost control. Subsequently, her vehicle crashed into a guard rail and caught fire.
 
Shortly after, paramedics and police officers responded and found two people in the vehicle with fatal injuries. Authorities have not released their names or residences.
 
Following the crash, traffic investigators searched the scene for clues leading to the impact. It is unknown if impairment factored into the cause, however, but an investigation into these details should confirm more information.
